Join us Tuesday evening as Pete Koerner discusses Weight-Loss Myths and Misconceptions that could actually be keeping you from winning the “battle of the bulge.” Most people think they’ve got it all figured out: “All I have to do is exercise and starve myself – and avoid the foods I love — if I want to lose weight and be fit and trim.” Well, guess what – that simply isn’t the truth. In fact, thinking that way could be the very reason you hold on to unwanted pounds and inches!
Your body simply doesn’t process food the way the food, diet, exercise, and medical communities would have you believe it does. These entities are all continuing to grow – getting bigger and richer while Americans get fatter and fatter. But, if they had the answers, you’d think the situation would be slightly different in this country; where over two-thirds of the population is overweight – and half of them are actually considered to be “obese.” This is a growing problem; typical ways of thinking about food, fat, and weight-loss aren’t working – because they are wrong. Our current way of looking and thinking about these things, in fact, is making matters worse.
