What Are You Attracting With Your Thoughts?

Instead of wondering if the Law of Attraction is “real” or not, take some time and consider what you might be attracting into your life experience. Consider your overall state of mind, your thoughts, attitudes, and judgments; then consider your life experience in general. To what extent do these things match? Be honest with yourself; there’s nothing to gain here by simply “sticking to your guns,” or feeding your ego. If you want your life to change, you must change your thoughts. If you don’t believe this, you need only open your eyes – and mind – to what’s going on around you.
If you think your life sucks, consider your overall attitude on a day-to-day basis. Do you think the people in your life see you as a miserable person who thinks and acts like their life sucks? If you’re projecting that kind of energy, chances are that you’re life experience is reflecting that kind of experience right back to you. I mean, c’mon, would you really want to be around you every day if you had a choice? If not, what makes you think others do, or that you’re ever going to attract people, opportunities, or the better circumstances these things could bring with them?
Now consider the people in your experience that you just can’t stand because they seem to “get all the breaks,” or, “have all the luck.” Do these people seem perpetually happy? Are they what you’d describe as, “repulsively cheerful?” Consider the fact that, while they may repel you, their obvious positivity may indeed be one of the factors causing or attracting their good health and good luck. People like that are often called, “the life of the party;” and they always seem to have friends, or something fun or productive to do. Maybe the secret to their good fortune is hidden in plain sight.
Basically, if there’s a batch of cookies in the oven and an open bag of chocolate chips on the countertop, there’s a chance that you’re going to get chocolate chip cookies – maybe not, but there’s evidence and a definite chance that the bag of chocolate chips is somehow related to the cookies in the oven. If you’re a miserable person with a miserable life, you may not be able to change your circumstances immediately; but you can definitely change your attitude – if you open yourself to the possibility that your attitude and the state of your life might be connected in some way. And, if you notice that some people seem to walk around happy all the time, and they seem to have lives that match their attitude and personality, then you’d have to be some form of crazy to not consider the fact that those things are related.
People who attract money into their lives either grew up surrounded by it, or they think about it a lot. People who have low self-esteem had something happen earlier in their lives to create that “vibration” within them – a subconscious belief that they aren’t good enough. People who are perpetually healthy are either perpetually happy, or they spend lots of time thinking about having good health. People who invent new things spend time thinking about creating something new. There is always a connection between our thoughts and our reality; and, for better or worse, the thoughts always come first.
With a world full of successful people telling you that their success is the result of their thoughts and attitudes, you’ve got nothing to lose – and potentially everything to gain – by giving that approach a chance. There is no question that our thoughts are related to our experience; and those who let their experience control their thoughts and emotions seem to have very erratic experiences while those who put energy into creating their experience with their thoughts tend to be healthier, happier, and more successful in every area of life. The choice is yours; but your only real choice in this life is how you use your thoughts. So, what are you attracting with your thoughts? Think about it.
