Using The Law Of Attraction During Financial Crises: Does It Really Work?

Anytime you turn on the television you are going to get one of two things: Bad news, or bad programming. By “bad,” I’m not implying a value judgment; I’m simply saying that the stuff you see on television probably isn’t designed to move you in the direction of your dreams, goals, or aspirations. In fact, by bombarding yourself with all that “bad” news about the economy, you may very well be using the Law of Attraction quite effectively – against yourself! The Law of Attraction works at different speeds, and in different ways, for different people; because different people have different ways of thinking, feeling, believing, and acting. But the Law of Attraction is a natural law; it doesn’t care what you think about, or how you think about it – it just does to you “according to your beliefs.”
If you’re watching the unfolding financial crisis in the United States, you are watching the results of the Law of Attraction – not necessarily “misapplied,” but applied in such a way as to generate great imbalance in the world. You can essentially make yourself “depression-proof” by learning to use the Law of Attraction in such a way as to make you feel better first – and then you can build on that. You see, the reason depressions are considered “bad” is simply because things change for people and most people simply don’t like change. We consider such things as “bad” only because they make us feel bad, or uncomfortable; they make us worry and they make us fear the future. But, if you consider depressions, or recessions, like the seasons they truly are, you’ll realize that there’s no need to feel bad or afraid – just gather firewood, and accept things as they are. Then, if you want to change something, or create something new, you will be in the proper mental and emotional state to do that effectively.
The Law of Attraction is always working; but you’ve just been feeding it fear and worry and doubt. The first step in using the Law to your advantage is to stop watching and listening to “bad” news. In case you’ve never noticed, and nobody’s ever told you, the news isn’t really news anyway; and it isn’t really even accurate most of the time. The news isn’t designed to lead you out of misery, or to help you figure out what to do; the news is designed to shape the political views and consumption habits of a nation – just start paying attention to the stories and commercials and how they are related.
News anchor: “Here’s a terrible problem that could dramatically affect the way you live…after this word from our sponsors…”
Commercial: “Are you threatened by a terrible problem that could dramatically affect the way you live? Good! Then all you need to do is buy our product and you’ll feel all better!”
When you stop listening to, watching, and talking about bad news, you’ll probably find yourself a lot more inspired and energized. In fact, if you are able to turn-off your stress response, you may just find that you have different ideas flowing to you – ideas that, if acted on, could solve all of your problems. When you’re stressed, you get ideas like, “What’s the use?” or, “I don’t know what to do,” or, “My life is terrible,” or, “I need some ice cream,” etc. When you’re relaxed and at ease – and you can create this emotional state even in the middle of a war zone with a little practice – your ideas are more productive, helpful, and creative.
Stress robs you of valuable resources; those resources – ideas and inspiration – can be converted into cash by a cool headed person who is ready and willing to act. And, you may just be surprised at the things that seem to happen “magically” when you begin to cultivate your own emotional self-management skills and feed the Law of Attraction only positive and optimistic thoughts. And why shouldn’t you? Seriously, has anyone you’ve ever known ever told you, “Hey! That’s great pessimism you’ve got there! In fact, I’ll give you a million dollars if you can just add a little cynicism and skepticism to that!” Nope; that’s not how it works. Make yourself more positively attractive by being more positive. Then, you’ll attract conditions you desire rather than the conditions you’ve been programmed to create for yourself.
