The Simple Secret to Working with the Law of Attraction: 3-Steps to Creating New Realities
Do you want to create something new, or perhaps change part of your life? Consider that, whatsoever you desire can be yours if you ask for it believing that you already have it - even if it doesn’t exist yet. In other words, if you think about a thing in such a way that you truly FEEL grateful and happy that you have received it, then it will be given to you, or you will be led to it - and inspired to achieve it.
When you place your "mental order," for something new or different, with a prayer, hope, dream, etc, there are two components you must consider: What you want; and, How you want to feel. If you truly feel good about what you have asked for, you will affirm it to yourself - if not to others - and you will act on the inspirations you receive. Faith without action is something different than faith. Here are three-simple steps for creating a new reality:
The Secret and the Law of Attraction on Oprah: 3-Things You Can Do to Make the Secret Work For You
Anyone who watches Oprah is familiar with The Secret - a popular book about the Law of Attraction. But many people are frustrated because, though they’ve read the book - and want their lives to be different - they just can’t seem to make The Secret work for them. Well, the Law of Attraction isn’t a "tool," or something that either works or doesn’t work; it is always working whether you understand how to work with it, or not. If you are thinking and the "right" thoughts, feeling the "right" feelings,and taking the "right" actions, it will seem much more like the "Law" is on your side and working "for" you rather than "against" you. Here are three-things you can do to help The Secret work for you:
1. ASK for what you want by Thinking about it, or Imagining it. To use The Secret to "get what you want," you must first ASK for, or THINK about, or IMAGINE, what you want - positively, and with as much detail as possible.
2. OVERCOME Negative Thoughts and Self-Talk. Use Prayer, Affirmations, Meditation, Self-Hypnosis, or one of the new Energy Psychology techniques, such as the Z-Point Process, or the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), to overcome or eliminate negative and limiting beliefs - and other emotional obstacles that may be between you and your dream, goal, or the answer to your prayer.
3. LET-GO, BE BOLD, & SAY, "YES!" Whether you’ve released all your fears or not, you must take bold steps toward your dreams - and say, "Yes!" to opportunities and obvious action steps that lead you in the right direction and closer to your dreams.
Many people have approached The Secret, or the Law of Attraction, as a sort of "dream-machine," or, thanks to the example in the movie, "a wish-granting-genie." The REAL Secret, however, is that this way of thinking must become constant - or very intense - in order to generate what the average person would view as "miraculous results." You must ask for what you want, and remove your reasons for not having it, before you can experience the manifestation of your dreams; and when you do experience them, you must be bold and say, "Yes!" to that which you have asked for.
If it seems like The Secret is not working for you, or perhaps even working against you, consider that it is your thoughts working contrary to your desires; try changing your thoughts before declaring that the Universe is "against" you, or that natural Law has all of a sudden stopped working in your case. Do you think Oprah got where she is by focusing on her limitations and saying, "No!" to opportunities she asked for? All things are possible if you believe; but it is up to you to choose what you want, decide to get it, and take whatever steps, or however many steps, may be required.

The Secret on Oprah: Can “The Secret” Really Help Depression?
Oprah recently re-aired a show featuring The Secret, and guests: Louise Hay, Cheryl Richardson, and Martha Beck – each offering their perspectives on the best-selling book by Rhonda Byrne and The Law of Attraction. One of the stories featured on this show was about a woman who overcame grief and depression after reading The Secret and realizing the dynamics of her thoughts and what they were creating in her life. But can The Secret really cure depression?
3-Reasons The Secret Isn’t "Working for You"
The Secret, or The Law of Attraction, isn’t "magic." It isn’t really even a "thing." The Law of Attraction is simply a way of talking about or describing how things seem to come together, or manifest into form from the world of the un-formed. The Law of Attraction is a law, not a tool; it isn’t something that works sometimes, or for some people, and not other times, or for other people. If you don’t think the Law of Attraction is working for you, it is almost certainly because the Law has brought you grief, loss, suffering, debt, unhappiness, or some other misfortune instead of something you think would be "better." The Law is "working" perfectly.
How Do I Make "The Secret" Work for Me?
The Secret isn’t a new idea; and it really isn’t even a secret. Everyone knows this: "As a man thinketh, so it is done to him." In every religion, culture, and philosophy, this is a fundamental truth; and, even science has come full-circle in its understanding of what they call, "the Observer Effect" ("Seek and you will find."). Not only do our thoughts create our experiences, our health, and our bodies; our thoughts and beliefs filter our perceptions and color the way we perceive and think about our experiences, health, body, and life in general. But consciously controlling your thoughts, and remaining conscious, are two different things; and you have to do them both — along with some other things — in order to really make "The Secret" work for you.
Thinking can be tricky business sometimes; and controlling your thoughts can be even more so. You might think you are thinking about getting money to pay debts, but all you seem to experience is more and more debt. Is your focus really on "more money," or is it on getting rid of "DEBT?" How much time do you spend thinking about what you want, as opposed to what you DON’T WANT? What you are thinking about matters; but so does HOW you are thinking, and WHY you are thinking it. Your feelings are much more important than you might have been told. Thinking about money while feeling stressed, for instance, will bring you a money-experience that makes you feel "stressed."
There are basically three-things you need to know about how those who teach the Secret (Law of Attraction) make it work for them:
The Law of Attraction: Magical, or Practical, Your Job is the Same
The Secret has brought world-wide attention to the “Law of Attraction.” Millions and millions of people were dying to know “The Secret;” and many of them were amazed and pleased to learn about the creative power of their own thoughts. Some, however, were very disappointed and even angered and upset by some of the teachings in The Secret – calling them, “Materialistic, Narcissistic, Mean-spirited, Pie-in-the-sky, Wishful thinking, Un-spiritual,” and a long list of other judgments and criticisms. It seems some are looking for magic while others search for practicality; but, with The Law of Attraction, we find both.
