Law of Attraction Distractions: the Universe Pays Attention Even When We Don’t
When asked how he came up with his Theory of Gravity, Sir Isaac Newton replied, "I thought about it all the time." I suppose if he had been more distracted, those ideas would have landed on someone else, or we wouldn’t have done all the things we have done based on Newton’s observations. The fact is that we really can’t imagine what the world would be like if some of our greatest thinkers had other things to do - like watching television, texting their friends, or playing video games.
Two-Things You Don’t Know About Your Own Mind That Could Be Keeping Your Prayers From Being Answered
If you think your prayers are answered sometimes, and not answered at other times, or that the answer to prayers is sometimes, "Yes," sometimes, "No," and sometimes, "Maybe," then you need to consider at least one other possibility. Maybe you just don’t always pray effectively. Maybe there’s more than one way to think, or pray, and you just aren’t doing it…
Relationships: Why Your Relationship Sucks – and What You Can Do To Fix It
Imagine the most complicated piece of technology you can think of. Maybe you’re thinking of a computer or some advanced weapons or medical technology, or something along those lines. Now imagine that I told you to fix one of those things you’re imagining - without tools or instruction. You’d be lost. Now consider that, no matter what your high-tech example was, the most complicated technology available to humans is humans; and making them interact harmoniously requires thought, effort, and communication.
Success Principles: Failure is Not an Option
Failure is not an option; it’s a judgment and a misunderstanding of where you are and what’s going on. Failure is simply what you have labeled a very necessary part of a very necessary process. And, failure can also be an idea used as an excuse to discontinue efforts or activities in a certain area of your life. But there is truly no such thing as a “failure,” only outcomes, misunderstandings, and judgments – which often lead to more of the same.
The Law of Attraction and Mundane Concerns
Concerns are thoughts, worries, or situations that give rise to thoughts and worries. The word, “mundane,” simply means, “Worldly,” “common,” or “commonplace.” The concept of “mundane concerns” should interest anyone interested in the Law of Attraction for the simple reason that our concerns are thoughts; and thoughts are at the heart of attraction. If, in other words, you get what you think about, it is your mundane concerns causing your mundane life. And we do get what we think about – in one way or another.
3-Reasons The Secret Isn’t "Working for You"
The Secret, or The Law of Attraction, isn’t "magic." It isn’t really even a "thing." The Law of Attraction is simply a way of talking about or describing how things seem to come together, or manifest into form from the world of the un-formed. The Law of Attraction is a law, not a tool; it isn’t something that works sometimes, or for some people, and not other times, or for other people. If you don’t think the Law of Attraction is working for you, it is almost certainly because the Law has brought you grief, loss, suffering, debt, unhappiness, or some other misfortune instead of something you think would be "better." The Law is "working" perfectly.
Common Sense — Follow Your Heart to the Right Answer
We commonly refer to sense, senses, or sensation, in the context of sight, hearing, touch, etc. We also use the word sense in reference to intelligence or logic. The fact is that the ears, eyes, nose, skin, and mouth/tongue, are not senses - they are "antennae," or receptors, that pick up specific types of energy or vibration. Sensing is a function of the brain and nervous system - the perception and processing of the information detected by the so-called "sense organs." Sense, in other words, is "what you have in your head."
Perfectionism Preempts Progress, Peace, & Pleasure
In the drive to success, it can be easy to forget your purpose. We seem to get so wrapped-up in keeping-up that we forget the real reason for waking-up. Life has only one purpose; and that purpose is LIFE. In life, we can choose between progress and stagnation, peace and war; and we can choose pleasure or suffering. But choices these are; and a choice must be made. Not choosing is still a choice.
Attracting What You Want
Everyone wants something. If you’re like me, you probably have two or three categories of wants – something like: Things I truly wish to experience (Peace, Health, etc…); Things that would be nice or even great to experience (Luxury, Expensive vacations and things, etc…); and maybe a BIG container labeled “Things I Definitely Don’t Want.” A “don’t want” is actually a “want” for an experience that lacks, or doesn’t include, this “negative” thing we have judged and are now focused or fixated on. Do you know what you want? If you know what you don’t want, turn it around; make a positive out of it, or you’ll find yourself continuing to attract versions of what you don’t want, or, “the things you greatly fear.”
Thinking About Attraction - There’s More To Thinking Than Meets The Eye
Many people complain that The Secret, or The Law of Attraction, just doesn’t work for them. They exclaim, "But I am thinking about what I want; and I DID try to believe in it — but nothing happened!" Well, there’s more to thinking than meets the eye. Most people spend most of their time thinking about things they see and hear; while people who actively create the things they want in life tune-out most of the "external noise" from their environment, and think about the things we will see in the future — things they will create. Imagine the Wright brothers knowing they could fly while everyone else knew that machines couldn’t fly. There were no textbooks on aeronautical engineering, and no working, physical models for the Wright brothers to copy; yet they "saw" their airplane long before it was built — in their mind’s eye, with their imaginations. As Eleanor Roosevelt said, "The future belongs to those who Believe in the beauty of their DREAMS."
